The London headquarter of global technology company, Ricoh – located on the 22nd floor of Broadgate Tower (near Liverpool Street Station) – has been designed with flexible working in mind, allowing people to be productive by blending the latest technology with cutting-edge space planning techniques. The working environment was transformed in 2015 following an internal ‘workstyle innovation’ project that brought the best of its services and technology together through a workplace services team.
Under its corporate tagline – ‘imagine. change.’ Ricoh continues to empower companies and individuals with services and technologies that inspire innovation, enhance sustainability and boost business growth.
Each one of Ricoh’s offices now operates as an ‘activity based working’ environment. This is an organisational approach which moves away from ‘owned’ or ‘assigned’ working positions (one desk per employee) and instead provides employees with a set of activity areas which encourage people to migrate around their workspaces dependent on the task at hand providing various furniture and technology provisions to support this.
Ricoh’s impressive office space, has been created after thorough consideration of different work styles and workflow to develop a new way of working that delivers a sustainable plan for the future.
