In 2015, international consulting firm CMS London relocated their London office to Cannon Place, to create a truly innovative working environment, centered around creating exceptional client areas and open plan collaborative work spaces.

Accommodating more than 1400 employees, the office space (complete with a state of the art reception area, open plan collaboration zones, two feature staircases and restaurant) coincided with a new, client-centric initiative – the company uses a mixture of traditional receptionist desk in favor of a “meet and greet” concierge approach, creating a space for more conversation between the company and the client.


The ‘business lounge’ style of the CMS office space includes everything an employee in a modern office could need including; video conferencing rooms, bookable and non-bookable meeting rooms, and café and breakout spaces to encourage mobility and cross-team collaboration.

With the new office came the addition of new technology. Employees would be issued a state-of-the-art laptop, wireless headset and 24” screen, enabling them to stay mobile and take advantage of the different types of workspaces throughout the office. The new technology – along with a media wall, an interactive table and ipads on arrival – allow for total mobility, enabling staff to work at their desks, move into a meeting room, or around the building, or work remotely.


This forward-thinking approach is characterised by sparing splashes of colour, modern furniture and striking staircases that encourage movement and add to the sense of fluidity in the office.

By embracing a truly high-tech mobile working culture, CMS’ fee earners have all the tools they need to advise their clients instantly literally anywhere in the world they happen to be. And by combining their new technology with an open plan, collaborative environment, with fee earner grouped according to their core sectors, all staff are able to share knowledge and ideas with colleagues and devise more creative, innovative ways of servicing their clients.

The office’s exceptional design, commitment to agility and amenities have catapulted CMS to the forefront of workplace design.

Please note that spaces are limited. We will be sure to let you know if the tour is fully-booked, but please rest assured we will do all we can to accommodate all requests.

To buy tickets, type the amount of tickets you require in the orange quantity box below. Most events will allow a maximum purchase of 2. Once you have done that, please fill out your attendance details. Due to the event being for charity, we will not be permitting any refunds. Whether you attend the event or not, refunds are not permitted.

No physical tickets will be issued in advance for Workplace Week tours. Once you have booked your place, your name will be added to an official attendee list and a member of the AWA team will be there to greet you on arrival . Please ensure you bring one form of photo ID with you on the day.
