Celebrated as the of the coolest workplaces for 2018. iconic British footwear brand Dr. Martens moved into their new global HQ in vibrant Camden town in 2017.

With the brand first adopted by the punk-rock subcultures in Camden back in the 1980s, there was no better location that created a true representation of the Dr. Martens’ brand values, identity and culture.  The site, located on the historic Camden lock (close to Viacom – home to MTV), is an area of huge diversity and home to an array of eccentric and artistic communities.

Home to more than 200 staff, the eclectic space immerses its occupier into the culture and history of the brand whilst providing a multi-functional and inspiring workplace space where employees enjoy coming into work, interacting and being part of the Dr. Martens family.

Made famous by the punk rock era, the connection with music has inspired the design throughout the building, with standout features including a large stage, complete with drum kit and video wall, coupled with bleacher-style tiered seating which allows for a flexible multi-use space for live music, announcements, interaction and social events. Meeting rooms are named after genres of music such as Ska, Rock, Indie and Two Tone and they even have “recording booths” which you can drop into to have private conversations/ calls. All of which have windows with central frosted sections that reveal only the top and bottom fifths of the screens. A bespoke Marshall amp wall with ‘HypeBoxes’ and transparent LCD display boxes, are also visible in the reception area and the office-wide music is audible as soon as you step in.

The completed design is a true reflection of the strong and coherent brand that is Dr Martens, with bespoke joinery elements, artwork and highlighted yellow accents echoing the signature Dr. Martens stitching, and even features cupboard handles made using heel-loops.

Once you have done that, please fill out your attendance details. Due to the event being for charity, we will not be permitting any refunds. Whether you attend the event or not, refunds are not permitted.

No physical tickets will be issued in advance for Workplace Week tours. Once you have booked your place, your name will be added to an official attendee list and a member of the AWA team will be there to greet you on arrival . Please ensure you bring one form of photo ID with you on the day.
