The Impact of Automation & Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Future World of Work
15 November, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am |
In collaboration with Warwick Business School, the Knowledge and Innovation Network (KIN) and Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF)
About the Event
As workplace automation becomes more widespread, and today’s AI-enabled, information-rich tools are increasingly able to handle jobs that in the past have been exclusively done by people (including tax returns, language translations, accounting, even some types of surgery) – automation is destined to have profound implications for the future world of work.
With recent reports documenting that 30 percent of activities for 60 percent of occupations are now technically automatable, the big question remains: what will this future look like and how long will it take to get there?
You are invited to join us for a lively and engaging breakfast roundtable briefing as we discuss the latest trends in AI, robotics and automation, the impact on the workplace environment and culture, and the emergence of new digital skills, training and roles, as automation revolutionizes who, what, where, and how people work.
The briefing, organised in partnership with Warwick Business School’s Knowledge and Innovation Network (KIN) and Norton Rose Fulbright, a long-standing member of the KIN, will take place at the NRF London headquarters with guest speakers including Stephen Dale, Warwick Business School, Knowledge and Innovation Facilitator and Sugandha Rana, Knowledge Manager, Norton Rose Fulbright. As part of the session, NRF will share valuable insight of a global productive search solution recently implemented within their own workplace to maximise efficiency.

Following the discussion, guests are invited to join a private tour of NRF’s impressive workplace offering its workforce of 650+ lawyers a beautiful riverside environment in which to work, learn and socialise.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the office is based within the iconic More London business development on the south bank of the River Thames. Light, spacious floors make collaboration easy and the panoramic views of London, particularly from the Riverside Terrace, are certainly worth a look.
About the Knowledge Innovation Network (KIN)
KIN is a non-profit practitioners’ network of large, predominantly blue-chip organisations, that aims to create and share relevant new insights in the field of knowledge, innovation and networks through the funding of research into practice.
The network is deliberately small in order to foster trust and familiarity and the ability to ‘get behind’ what makes organisational learning techniques, tools or processes effective. Having only one organisation from each industry sector, and no consultants or vendors, provides a unique atmosphere of trust and diversity of thinking
