Leading facilities management company, Mitie, relocated from the Cottons Centre in Tooley Street to the iconic and vibrant Shard Building in February 2018, one of the tallest buildings in Europe.

As part of the organisation’s commitment to consolidating its London offices and creating a truly connected workplace, Mitie brought 250 of its employees from three separate locations together under one state of the art roof, to occupy the twelfth floor of the landmark building.

Offering incredible panoramic views across London’s skyline, the move to the vertical city comes at a time of transformation for the business under the stewardship of its new senior management team, serving to drive efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint, it also strengthens collaboration across teams and acts as a showcase for Mitie’s Connected Workspace vision.

It’s mission: to help improve the performance of its new location to make work life better for its people.

Listed by Glassdoor as one of London’s ‘Coolest Office Spaces in 2018’, he standout space incorporates ultra-modern furnishings, the latest interactive, highly optimized technology and environmental sensors, predictive maintenance support and functionality, as well as a biophilic living lab to measure wellbeing and productivity.

The space is a sophisticated hybrid interior designed to encourage activity-based working. People can choose what kind of area they want to work in from dynamic break out areas to informal booths or a ‘town hall’ space for collegiate gatherings. Funky fixtures rest alongside natural materials such as bamboo and foliage to create and inspire calmness and clear thought.

Once you have done that, please fill out your attendance details. Due to the event being for charity, we will not be permitting any refunds. Whether you attend the event or not, refunds are not permitted.

No physical tickets will be issued in advance for Workplace Week tours. Once you have booked your place, your name will be added to an official attendee list and a member of the AWA team will be there to greet you on arrival . Please ensure you bring one form of photo ID with you on the day.
