First opened in 2015, the Studio launch was instrumental in shaping the bank’s global digital transformation strategy, overhauling internal structures in a bid to improve its customers’ lives. Its mission? To position RBS at forefront of creating a state-of-the-art digital banking system that puts the customer first.
Marking an exciting first for the global banking industry, the launch of the Studio transformed the company’s culture and technology systems from the inside-out, with brand new collaborative development areas, cross-functional teams and the mindset of a more nimble enterprise start-up.
Inspired by the ‘silicon roundabout’ tech start-ups and incubator office space trends, 300+ studio staff are able to create and collaborate more so than ever before, enjoying areas known on the inside as the ‘Scrum Team’ and ‘The Club House’ as well as multiple ‘demo zones’.
