The positive impact of agile work on the global carbon footprint

We agree with *Papa (Ernest) Hemingway. And lately, the birds do seem to be chirping more, the air seems fresher, and we can get a seat on the subway. But wait, there’s more! How we work and where we work impacts on carbon. Buildings and their construction together account for 36 percent of global energy use and 39 percent of energy-related carbon dioxide emissions annually, according to the United Nations Environment Program.

Could new models triggered by Covid-19 drive lower carbon emissions? How can organizations track the carbon associated with their work activities and target reductions? Environmental expert Mauro Cozzi of Emitwise will share these and other possibilities for agile work to not only offer workers more flexibility in a more pleasurable environment, but help deliver the year on year cost savings we’ve been trying to squeeze out of the built environment.
